Hygienic Environment - Chiller Room

Kelray were appointed to create chiller rooms in a biscuit factory in Newport.  The rooms are used for storage of pre-process materials.

The chiller rooms were designed to meet temperatures of -3°C using 100mm PIR insulated panels for walls and ceilings.  All joints and trims throughout the room were sealed with a hygienic mastic.  We installed a 100mm sliding door and 100mm hinge door in order to seal each room.

Due to the location of the room on the second floor of the factory we experienced a number of handling issues.  These issues meant that all work had to be carried out over the Christmas period not to disrupt the factory's operation and had to be completed by the start of the New Year.

Hygienic Environment - Food Factory

Kelray were appointed to complete hygienic wall panelling throughout an access tunnel in a food factory.

The existing tunnel walls were concrete and needed repair, an issue that was picked up during an external audit.  Kelray specified that PIR panels needed to be installed to walls and ceilings in order to meet the factories ever increasing hygiene standards.

Work was completed out of hours because the access tunnel was in continuous operation during the factories working hours.
