Armed Forces Employability Pathway - Employer Recognition Scheme

Monday 22 June 2015

Kelray were proudly invited to attend the Armed Forces Employability Pathway Event and to witness the Queen present new colours to the Royal Welsh regiment of the British Army at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Thursday the 11th of June 2015.

The event was held to raise awareness and to encourage companies within the construction industry to sign up to the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme' which aims to support the Defence and Armed Forces community.  Construction companies are asked to pledge their intention to support the scheme by taking a positive stance towards existing or prospective employees who are members of the Armed Forces community.  The scheme encourages companies to recognise the importance of employability and open-mindedness toward members such as reservists, veterans and military spouses.

Our Managing Director, Carl Raynes attended the event and thoroughly enjoyed finding out more about the scheme and how Kelray can support it. We look forward to working with the scheme in the future.
