Carl Raynes - Managing Director
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Carl began his working life as a plasterer and journeyed through self-employment before trading as Kelray Building Maintenance Ltd in 2004. Since then Carl has taken Kelray from strength to strength. Considered very much a people’s person, Carl prides himself on building and sustaining good relationships with both customers and staff. Passionate about boosting employment opportunities locally Carl has also been a visiting practitioner on a part-time basis teaching apprentices and mature students the skill and art of quality plastering procedures and applications. Carl is also an active member of the Four Construction Training Group and values his role as chairperson of the committee. With a higher staff retention and a trusted reputation among high-profile clients Carl is dedicated to developing and planning for the future of Kelray.
Emma Alexander - Office Manager
We are proud to have Emma as our longest serving employee, playing a key role in the success and development of Kelray since 2000. Emma originally joined us as an administrator after obtaining her HND in Business & Finance, but quickly excelled into the role of Office Manager. Emma's continuous experience and knowledge of the industry has equipped her to oversee the company's Financial Management, Human Resources and Marketing as well as planning for the future and development of Kelray. Emma has recently taken on the additional role of treasurer of the Four Construction Training Group.
Lee Arnett – Operations Manager
Lee has excelled in his professional development since joining Kelray as an apprentice plasterer in 2003. Lee was awarded an NVQ Level 3 in plastering, obtaining a number of awards such as British Gypsum Plasterer of the Year. Lee has since gained a HND in Business Administration and an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying. Lee quickly developed into the role of Contracts Manager before progressing into the role of Operations Manager in 2008. Lee's natural business sense and unrivalled attention to detail and quality control across all projects has made him an asset to our company.
Martyn Morgan - Site Manager
Martyn joined Kelray in 2006 as a qualified carpenter, bringing over 30 years of experience in the industry. Martyn's natural leadership ability and experience within the field enabled him to train a number of our apprentice carpenters that helped form our carpentry division. As the company grew Martyn was promoted to Site Manager and now oversees many projects at any given time. Martyn is often praised by customers for his approachable attitude - which we deem a valuable strength to have within the industry.
Dale Harris - Site Manager
Dale joined Kelray in 2007 as an apprentice carpenter and completed his NVQ Level 3 in 2009. During his apprenticeship Dale was awarded the Welsh Livery Guild Award Apprentice of the year along with a number of other awards. Dale has since been a key member of the Kelray team and is often praised for his customer focused and meticulous attitude and has been described as 'a joy to work with' by one of our existing customers. Dale was promoted to Site Foreman in 2014 and has since joined Martyn in the role of Site Manager.
Carly Foster - Accounts Administrator and Receptionist
Carly is only a call away and available to help with any queries or to put you in touch directly with any of our team. We were thrilled when Carly came to us for a 9 month programme ‘Job Match’, during which we were so impressed with Carly’s excellent customer relationship skills and ability to multi-task we employed her as a full-time addition to our staff. Since the programme has ended Carly has undergone in-house training and mentorship across administration, accounts and payroll. We are thrilled that Carly has now been with us for 4 years and look forward to continuing to nurture her natural abilities in our business.
